Reedham Village Fete and Beer Festival, 12-13 July

Humpty Dumpty Brewery are pleased to be running the beer tent at this year's Village Fete and Beer Festival, at the Reedham Village Hall and Playing Fields on 12-13 July.

The festival weekend will feature live music on both Saturday and Sunday.  There will also be a food fair on Saturday and a Craft Fair and Car Boot Sale on Sunday, along with a number of stalls from area organisations and activities for all ages.

The festival takes place on Saturday from 12 Noon to 10 PM and on Sunday from 12 Noon to 5 PM.  The village hall is located on Pottles Lane (map), a short walk from the Reedham railway station and not far from Reedham's lovely riverside. Come by train and enjoy the festivities. The brewery shop will also be open over the weekend.

Humpty Dumpty will be providing the beers on the day, to include a range of our own beers and a selection of beer and ciders from other local producers.

Aylsham Farmers Market

Starting this month (17 May), Humpty Dumpty Brewery will be participating in the second Aylsham Farmers Market, located in the town centre of Aylsham on the third Saturday of the month.  The market trades from 9AM to 1PM.

Come by the market to buy our fine bottle-conditioned real ales.  We feature a special offer each month - this month we're featuring Humpty Dumpty Ale, our flagship bitter.  We also aim to sell 4-pint jugs of draught real ale to take away, and you can bring the jugs back and refill them every month with the beer of the month.

The market also features a number of well established traders supplying fine fresh produce, meat, milk, cheese and the wonderful Bray's Cottage Perfect Pies, who we are lucky enough to be neighbours to.

If you're coming along to the market, please note that Aylsham is a plastic bag free town.  The market organisers strongly prefer that you bring along your own reuseable bags.

10th Anniversary Barleywine

2008 marks Humpty Dumpty Brewery's 10th anniversary.  To commemorate this milestone, we have brewed a special limited edition barleywine called simply "10".

"10" is a ruby-coloured ale with a strong hoppy bitterness to counter its 9.2% alcohol by volume.  Its 62 IBUs of bitterness are provided by two additions of First Gold, Cascade and Amarillo hops. The Maris Otter pale malt is from the Branthill Farm in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk.  It has a wonderful balanced flavour that should cellar well.  We think it's perfectly paired with a piece of mature cheddar, stilton or other strong flavoured cheese.  It's a wonderful nightcap.

We are selling "10" in 330ml bottles through our brewery shop in Reedham as well as at our current Farmers Markets - Beccles Heliport (first Saturday of each month), and Aylsham Town Centre (third Saturday).  It is also available through select retailers including the Real Ale Shop at Branthill Farm and the Little Beer Shop in Blofield.  We've also made a few casks of it available to local pubs and selected beer festivals.

We're very happy to celebrate 10 years of cracking good beers in the Norfolk Broads, and very proud to bring you this special ale to mark the occasion.  Don't miss it!
